MC TO PROMOTE NEW CD IN KOREA?

Dle Mariah Daily Journal bude MC 12.-14.10. v Jižní Koreji propagovat své nové album. Zatím nejsou potvrzeny žádné další asijské země, ani Korea nebyla potvrzena oficiálně. MC zde naposledy byla před 5 lety se svým Charmbracelet turné - v červnu 2003 v Soulu a v únoru 2004 v Pusanu.

According to Mariah Daily Journal, MC will promote her new CD in South Korea on October 12-14, 2009. Any other Asian countries were not confirmed, even South Korea was not confirmed officialy. MC was there 5 years ago with her Charmbracelet World Tour - in Seoul in June 2003 and in February 2004 in Pusan.

MEMOIRS REVIEW IN MARIE CLAIRE

České vydání Marie Claire ve svém zářijovém čísle hodnotí nové album MC devadesáti procenty. Krátká recenze bohužel uvádí, že MC se poslední dobou moc nedaří: "Ačkoliv stále patří mezi nejprodávanější zpěvačky současnosti, posledních pár let se jí nedaří. Nové album však může její pád zarazit. Co song, to adept na hit. Tahle deska nemá slabá místa."

Marie Claire's Czech edition of the September issue reviewed the new MC album with 90%. Unfortunately this short review mentions that MC didn't go well last years: "Even thought she still belongs to the best selling singers, she didn't go well last couple of years. However her new album could stop her fall. Every song is a hit adept. This album has no weak spot."

Díky Mariah Daily Journal tu máme kompletní přehled informací o albu. Skoro celé album produkovala Mariah spolu s The-Dream a Trickym Stewartem. James Wright a Crystal Johnson byli jediní další autoři/producenti zapojení do tvorby alba. Thanks to Mariah Daily Journal, we have more information about Mariah's new album Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel. Most of the album was produced by the team of Mariah, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. James Wright and Crystal Johnson were the only other writers/producers involved in the album. Three songs use samples from other songs: Candy Bling (sample: Back in the Day by Ahmad, 1993), Inseparable (sample: Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper, 1984) and More Than Just Friends (sample: One More Chance by The Notorious B.I.G, 1995). MC ON OPRAH SEPT 18

MC by měla vystoupit v show Oprah příští pátek 18.9., ale nic není zatím oficiálně potvrzeno. MC naposledy vystoupila v Oprah Show v roce 2008 s Bye-Bye.

V New York Post se můžeme dočíst, že páteční show (18.9.) bude vysílána živě z New Yorku a zúčastní se jí Mariah Carey, Regis Philbin a Kelly Ripa (duo z pořadu Live with Regis and Kelly).

MariahCarey.com oficiálně potvrdili účast MC s tím, že zazpívá novou hudbu (tzn. že to může být víc songů).

Mariah is scheduled to be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, September 18th. No official confirmation for now. The last MC's performance on Oprah was Bye-Bye in 2008.

New York Post announced that the Friday show will be aired live from New York with guests Mariah Carey, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa (Live with Regis and Kelly).

MEMOIRS WORLDWIDE RELEASES

Fanoušci z Austrálie, Itálie, Holandska a Německa se Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel dočkají jako první, už 25. září. V Anglii, Irsku, Francii, Hong-Kongu a Norsku pak 28.9. a o den později v USA a na Taiwanu. V Dánsku, Švédsku, Finsku a Japonsku (doufejme, že zde s bonusy, jak je obvyklé) 30.9. a v Polsku až 2.10. V Česku a na Slovensku už se album dá předobjednat (zatím v regionální verzi), ale datum ještě není stanovené.

Fans from Australia, Italy, Holland and Germany can buy the Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel album September 25. The album will be released on September 28 in England, Ireland, France, Hong-Kong and Norway. Dennmark, Sweden, Finland and Japan will get its CD September 30, let's hope with usual bonuses in Japan. Polish fans have to wait until October 2. Czech and Slovak fans can pre-order the album but only the regional version. The date is still un-known.

Ve velice obsáhlé recenzi Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel od Amazonu se můžeme dočíst pár zajímavých informací o novém CD MC. Píšou, že celé CD se věnuje tématu lásky - prožívání první lásky, její ztráty, vzpomínání na nejbolestivější momenty, na časy nevinnosti a radosti. Na touhu po lásce, učení se z lásky, její růst, znovunalezení, ad. Mariah: "Hodně songů odráží nějaký specifický zážitek z mého života nebo jsou inspirovány filmy a zážitky mých přátel." Up Out To My Face je textem podobná Obsessed, stejně tak It's a Wrap, obě jsou o rozchodu. Standin O má ironicky aplaudovat ex-příteli (ex-manželovi?), takže můžeme čekat pravděpodobně druhé Side Effects. Stejně tak Betcha Gon Know - předpovídá karmickou odplatu pro vrtkavého milence. H.A.T.E.U. znamená Having A Typical Emotional Upset (mít typický citový zmatek) a je o fázi, kdy se chcete rozejít a čekáte, až se lítost změní v čistý vztek. MC zpívá tento song ve vyšším registru s pískáním jako poctu Minnie Riperton a jejímu songu Lovin' You. Candy Bling evokuje blažený ráj nové lásky, zatímco Inseparable lituje lásku, která nevyšla z důvodů, ktere je nemožné pochopit. More Than Just a Friend je fantazií o tom, v co se může běžný vztah proměnit. Ribbon a The Impossible se ztrácí v radosti a vděčnosti nad spásnou láskou, která znovu obohacuje život. MC zmiňuje song, který se nedostal na album - Imperfect. Text je o faktu, že svět na nás tolik tlačí, zvláště na ženy, abychom byly perfektní ve všech možných směrech a to je nemožné, protože nikdo není perfektní, jen Bůh je dokonalý. MEMOIRS CD DONE

MC včera oznámila přes Twitter, že album je konečně dokončené a že do něj ze sebe dala všechno. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel má prozatím stanovené datum vydání na 29. září (UK 28. a Japonsko 30.9).

SECOND SINGLE AND ALL MEMOIRS TRACKS

Druhým singlem by měl být cover od Foreigner - I Wanna Know What Love Is - MC ho nahrála v gospelovém stylu. Dle Showbiz se do rádií hodí balada Angels Cry (textově podobná Fly Like a Bird nebo I Wish You Well a My Savig Grace) ve stylu Vision of Love (právě o tomto songu se také hovořilo jako o druhém singlu) a bude mít ohromný úspěch. Standing O's má také velký potenciál, stejně tak jako H.A.T.E.U. a Inseparable.

L.A. Reid včera poprvé přehrál celé CD pár lidem z vydatelství. CD je zaměřené hlavně na balady. Zatím není známé pořadí songů, ale tracklist je následující:

Foreigner cover I Wanna Know What Love Is should be the second single, MC recorded it in gospel style. According to Showbizz, Angels Cry is perfect for radio (lyrics are in style of Fly Like a Bird, I Wish You Well and My Savig Grace and music in style of Vision of Love). Rumours were talked about this song as second single, Showbiz told this one will have a huge success. Standing O's has great potential and same for H.A.T.E.U. and Inseparable.

L.A. Reid played whole CD to some Def Jam staff for the first time yesterday. Memoirs are oriented in ballads. The order of tracks is not known for now, but the tracks are:

CANDY BLING: A laidback, mid-tempo track set to finger-snaps. At one point, Mariah makes mention of bringing "ODB back".
OBSESSED: You should all be familiar with this one...
H.A.T.E. U: A slower-tempo song which has Mariah wanting to square off with a trifling partner; "I can't wait to face you / I can't wait to hate you".
STANDING O: "The "O", of course, stands for "Ovation". This is an unmistakable Dream concoction laid over mid-tempo staccato piano chords and plush synths. The chorus includes Mariah mimicking Dream's signature "oh, oh" vocal punctuations.
IMPOSSIBLE: A woozy, somewhat minimalist slow jam.
