SAG AWARDS

MC bohužel na udílení SAG Awards nezabodovala, ale dostalo se jí pozornosti díky její róbě, kterou média velice chválila. Z nominovaných si odnesla cenu jen Mo'Nique za Nejlepší herečku ve vedlejší roli.

MC didn't win at SAG Awards, but she reaped success with her gown, highly praised by the media. From Precious nominations, only Mo'Nique won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

MC MADE A PORN PRANK CALL

MC v úterý překvapila Nicka, když zavolala jako "Debbie" do jeho show. Nick ji hned nepoznal, mluvila jiným akcentem, ale pak ji odhalil. MC se ale v telefou nepřiznala a dál pokračovala v tom, že ona - Debbie - a její mnžel mají rádi porno. Nick pak řekl, že podobné žertovné telefony jsou u MC velice časté.

Taking on the alias Debbie from Long Island, singer and Precious star Mariah rang US show Rollin With Nick Cannon on 923 Now FM to wind up her husband. Speaking in a Long Island drawl, she said: "Me and my husband have a very good time but we watch porn and I don't think it's bad.

Zítra budou mít premiéru klipy Angels Cry feat. Ne-Yo a Up Out My Face feat. Nicky Minaj. MC sice oznámila přes Twitter, že by to mělo být až v úterý, ale její oficiální web dnes vydal zprávu, že klipy budou mít premiéru zítra na Vevo.

The Angels Cry feat. Ne-Yo and Up Out My Face feat. Nicky Minaj remixes will premiering tomorrow. MC twitted that the premiere will be on Tuesday, but the official site announced today, that both videos will have a premiere on Vevo tomorrow.

MC ON UK'S HAITI CHARITY SINGLE

MC spolu s dalšími hvězdami přezpívá song Everybody Hurts (R.E.M.), který bude vydán na podporu Haiti. S nápadem přišel Simon Cowell (Pop Idol, X-Factor, objevitel Spice Girls) a podařilo se mu dát dohromady opravdu hvězdnou sestavu: Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Take That, Rod Stewart, Alexandra Burke, Susan Boyle, James Morrison, Mika, James Blunt, Westlife, Cheryl Cole. MC by měla nahrát své party pravděpdobně tento týden a singl by měl vyjít 7. února.

MC agreed to take part in the cover version of REM's ballad Everybody Hurts in a project being masterminded by X Factor chief Simon Cowell. Lots of stars joined this Haiti charity single: Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Take That, Rod Stewart, Alexandra Burke, Susan Boyle, James Morrison, Mika, James Blunt, Westlife, Cheryl Cole. MC should probably record her part this week and the release date is set for February 7.

FOX THEATRE - ATLANTA, GEORGIA - JAN 19

Předskokani RydaznRtist hráli od 19:30 do 19:48, od 8 do 9 hodin hrál DJ songy Michaela Jacksona. MC se snesla na pódium v 9 hodin. JD s MC zazpíval Shake It Off. MC zlobil mikfrofon při Touch My Body a byla slyšet spíš kapela. MC opět věnovala Angels Cry lidem z Haiti. Po It's Like That řekla, že pokaždé když říká fanouškům, že je miluje, je to míněno vážně. MC zmínila, že nemůže odhalit, kdo bude hostem v The Impossible na remixovém albu. O It's A Wrap řekla: "Když čekáte celou noc a nedostanete odpověď, tak to je konec vztahu!" MC děkuje JDmu, že s ní napsal We Belong Together a také fanouškům, kteří z písně udělali Song of the Decade. MC přídává Hero, tentokrát vypustila Up Out My Face.

Opening act RydaznRtist performed from 7:30pm to 7:48pm. Michael Jackson songs was played from 8 to 9pm. MC came out in 'swing' entrance with Butterfly Intro/Daydream Interlude at 9pm. J.D. joined MC on stage for Shake It Off. The were audio and microphone issues during Touch My Body. Her mike kept going out and the band was way too loud. Before singing Fly Like a Bird, MC went for a sip of water and said: "Champagne, later." MC left for a short break after Make It Happen. She dedicated Angels Cry to the people in Haiti. Getting a touch-up after Angels Cry and a teensy, lady-like sip, Mariah said then it's apple juice. Talked a little bit about her glass slippers. She said it's hard to walk in them, then showed them off. After It's Like That, she said she really means I love you when she says it to fans. MC said she can't reveal guests for The Impossible on Remix album. It's A Wrap - she said: "When you wait all night and you don't get a response, and you end the relationship!" MC thanked J.D. for writing "We Belong Together" with her; and fans for making it the Song of the Decade. Mariah came back out for encore and performed Hero. The show ended at 10:30pm. Up Out My Face dropped from concert's setlist.

JERMAINE DUPRI "BELONGS"

His Production of Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” Cited as Decade's Most Popular Song

Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together,” the second single from her 2005 comeback album, The Emancipation of Mimi, and a two-time Grammy winner, was recently named the most popular song of the last decade, based on record sales, airplay and online streaming. The pop ballad was produced by Jermaine Dupri, who was brought in by IDJ’s L.A. Reid after the album was practically finished, to craft a few more songs, including “We Belong Together,” a hip-hop ballad that helped the album go on to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide. Dupri fills in HITS’ own last-minute addition, Roy Trakin, on the details.

Did you feel any pressure when you were brought aboard to work with Mariah?
Not at all… This was part of a second batch of songs we worked on when she did come back. We wrote it together. Most of the time when I make records with Mariah, I basically write them while she’s there in the studio. She’s a super-prolific writer. And that’s how we’ve always collaborated. She gives me the vibe for the kind of record she’s looking for, then we start playing different chords and keys to see where we’re headed.

She took more of a natural vocal approach.
There are people who think she’s singing as hard as she ever did, because they hadn’t heard her like that in a long time.

Who had the idea for the lyrical references to Bobby Womack and [L.A. Reid and Babyface band] The Deele?
Bobby Womack was my idea, but the Babyface thing came from [co-writer] Johnta [Austin]. I’m sure we would have never put those in there, if we knew they’d be getting writers’ credit. I never realized that just mentioning someone’s name warrants 1% or 2%. I’m going to go back and listen to see how many people say, “Jermaine Dupri.”

Did you realize at first how popular it would be?
The first two we did, “It’s Like That” and “Get Your Number,” were more uptempo. When we got back together in the studio, my idea was, let’s try some ballads this time—let’s flip the switch. We put a condenser mic in the studio so we could record every idea we came up with. When we went to play it back, you could hear the song coming to life. I cut the vocal myself at first, and she followed my direction to a “T.”

It crossed over to every audience.
I’m really speechless that the song was able to connect to so many different people. My style of production does not sound like pop music when you first hear it. Fortunately, they end up going that way. I had no idea what it was going to do; I just knew it was a good Mariah record. In my mind, it doesn’t sound like the song of the decade—it’s too different. It doesn’t sound like anything else.

What are you working on now?
I have a new R&B artist named Dondria, who has this song “You’re the One,” which just entered the charts.

Nick má od včerejška svou ranní show na rádiu CBS - Rollin' With Nick Cannon. Na http://923now.com bude ve všední dny od 6 do 10 ráno zpovídat hvězdy a samozřejmě pouštět hudbu.
